On 28th June 2023, our Stage Three students participated in The Night of the Notables showcase.
The Night of the Notables is a major inquiry project premised on the assumption of using heroes (or ‘notables’) as role models. Our students researched a notable person in history, which required them to work autonomously, learn advanced research skills and practise role modelling. The pedagogical aims of the project centre on the research strategies taught and higher order thinking skills in selecting, analysing and synthesising research materials.
The project culminated in a Night of the Notables showcase last night where our students displayed their work in front of friends and family.
Some of our ‘notables’ included Sir Henry Parkes, Edith Cowan, Banjo Paterson, Victor Chang, Fred Hollows, Cate Blanchett, Olivia Newton-John, Shane Warne, Tim Cahill, Glen McGrath and Cathy Freeman.
Stage Three, we are immensely proud of your amazing achievements. Well done!
