School Sports Carnivals
We love getting dressed in our sports house colours and competing at various school carnival events. Our Blue, Red, Green and Gold colour houses are led by our Colour House Captains who encourage their teammates to participate in events with the backing of colour house war-cries and cheering from the sidelines. Students are able to achieve success by breaking school records, winning ribbons for race places and acquiring points for their colour houses to win the colour house trophy. We also award a spirit cup for the most enthusiastic cheering colour house on the day!
Corpus Christi hosts the following annual sports carnivals:
- Swimming carnival – age 8-years plus
- Cross country carnival – whole school
- Athletics carnival – whole school
Our students are also invited to compete at various gala days throughout the year:
- Rugby League gala day – Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6
- Soccer gala day – Grades 4, 5 and 6
- Netball gala day – Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6

Sporting clubs
Corpus Christi offers weekend club sporting opportunities through our soccer and netball clubs. In addition to developing new sporting skills, being a part of a team provides students with the ability to create long lasting friendships (as well as the parents on the side lines!)
Team sport teaches children values such as teamwork, discipline and fair play and can empower youth and promote self-esteem. Get involved now and register by contacting us on the email below.
Corpus Christi Hawks Soccer Club
The Corpus Christi P&F runs a Soccer Club with teams competing in the Northern Suburbs Football Association. The club will typically run 1-2 teams in each of the younger divisions from Under 6s to Under 10s. The pride and passion for the Corpus Hawks is often on full display with the kids wearing their club jerseys and hoodies at every opportunity. Training is run after school throughout the season by professional coaches.
The club also runs two Mens Over 35’s teams to promote the school community spirit amongst past and present school parents.
